I have a very special place in my heart for Manatees.  They are the most incredible creatures you could ever imagine.  Up close, they are extremely gentle and lovable.  The pictures below were taken during an artist exhibition called the "Manatee Menagerie" which helps raise awareness about the plight of the West Indian Manatees found throughout Florida.  These wonderful works of art will be auctioned off at the Sirata Beach Resort in May 2006.
